How much do you charge for wedding day coverage?

Our wedding collections begin at $3,000. If you are having a destination wedding, a customized collection can be made for you. To discuss this in detail, please inquire here.

Does Kali have an assistant photographer?

Yes! My husband Preston is my main second shooter. On the rare occasion Preston is not present, I will have another shooter present with me on your wedding day.

How long after the wedding does it take to get all of our wedding images?

It typically takes 6-8 weeks for full editing completion. It’s probably tempting to ask us how the progression is going, but just know we are working very diligently to finish your beautiful images in a timely, yet quality manner.

Do I get printing rights to all of the images?

Yes! Once we finish editing the images from the wedding day, we deliver a DVD to you. You are then allowed the printing rights to these images. I have a list of preferred printing locations that will print your images with the best color and quality. You are also able to post these on Facebook, Twitter, or wherever you choose. All of the images will also be posted in an online proofing site where you can view them and order if you’d like.

Do we get all of the images you take on the wedding day?

No and we do not allow the extra photographs to be seen as they are typically duplicates with eyes closed. We break down all of the images taken into the best collection that beautifully represents the scope of your wedding day. We believe in quality above quantity. These are all hand-picked and edited in detail, then delivered to you as well as posted in an online gallery.

Do you touch up all of your photos?

We do edit each image individually to make sure the color, saturation, and lighting looks as it should. We strive to curate your entire wedding collection with cohesive, timeless beauty.

Do you shoot the rehearsal dinner?

Typically we do not shoot rehearsal dinners unless requested for an additional cost.

Do you help me plan out our wedding day schedule?

YES, oh yes! This element is equally as important to me as the actual editing of your images. I truly believe a thoughtfully planned wedding day schedule is central to beautiful photos and a stress-free day. If you are working with a planner, we will work with them closely to make sure we have enough photo time. If you are not working with a planner, we will work together to create the best schedule. Where are you located?

We are located in the small town of Ponchatoula, Louisiana but we very frequently shoot along the entire Gulf Coast and will gladly travel to ANY location you’d like.

Do you suggest a first look for the wedding day?

Yes! I cannot stress enough the intimate element of it and the comprehensive dynamic it brings to the entire day. This isn’t the ONLY option, but it definitely is the best option for your photo outcome. It truly helps you to have a more relaxing day, as well as to have many more photographs. Do you take formal family portraits?

Yes. We request a full list of family groupings along with names at least two weeks prior to the wedding day. This way, we don’t forget anyone and you walk away with all of your family photos! If you decide to do a first look, family portraits are usually done in nice natural light before the ceremony, as well as a few extended family portraits after the ceremony.

Should we give you a specific shot list for the wedding day?

Other than a list of family groupings, we do not need a list of things to photograph. Our job is to photograph every detail we see at your wedding. Looking down at a list will only hinder us from seeing what’s in front of us.

How can I reserve my wedding date? Can you hold my date?

We require a 25 percent non-refundable retainer of the total collection you choose to reserve your wedding date. We do not hold a date without a deposit and signed contracts. We book dates on a first come, first serve basis.

What if we cancel our wedding or change our date after we signed a contract?

If your wedding date is canceled, your retainer fee will be kept in full. Once your contract and retainer fee is received, we turn down any other wedding on this date. The retainer fee guarantees that we hold your date exclusively for you, therefore all other weddings will be turned down.

What if you cancel on us?

We have never canceled on a client. If I die, or am unable to make it because of an extreme family emergency, we will find a competent professional with similar shooting style to take our place. I have several photographers I have worked with personally on my backup list, should this ever be the case.

Do you need a meal at our reception?

We do ask for some nourishment too! Our only request is that the venue knows we need to eat at the same time you are eating so that we are able to continue your coverage as your night proceeds. Plus, no one likes to be photographed while eating, so this is a perfect time for everyone to fuel up and take a breather.

Do you travel? How far do you travel? What are travel costs?

Oh yes, we LOVE traveling wherever love takes you! We love to hear from out of towners and because we love traveling, we are always willing to help look for the most affordable way to arrive at your destination. We are available to travel anywhere in the world. Please [inquire] for a custom collection quote based on your destination needs.

Should I take an engagement session?

Yes! We HIGHLY suggest we have the opportunity to work together before your wedding day. It’s crucial to get to know each other in front of the camera so your wedding day is a breeze. Consider it a precursor to the wedding day! AND you get to have fun doing it. If you’re from out of town and you cannot make it to us for an engagement session, we shoot your engagement session on the same trip as your wedding, we just ask for an extra night hotel room to account for us arriving early for your engagement session.

What do your albums look like?

We offer premium leather albums. The pages are thick and extremely durable as the photos are printed onto the pages. Each album is custom designed by yours truly in a classic, timeless style. We also offer Fine Art Coffee Table Books with the same classic, timeless design techniques and a linen outer cover.

How long does it take for our albums to arrive?

After the design process is complete, it takes around 6-8 weeks for your albums to be delivered.

How do we pick a location for our engagement session?

As part of collections with engagement sessions, I have a specific methodology I go through with each bride and groom to plan an engagement session fitting to their taste. We always work according to the timing of the best light.

How long do engagement sessions last?

Engagement sessions generally take 1-2 hours depending upon the exact location of the session. Because we work most weekends shooting weddings, the weekends we have off are generally spent with family. We ask our bride and groom to plan work schedules in advance to shoot on weekdays. We typically start the shoot 1-2 hours before sunset.

Do you make any of our images black and white?

Yes. Some images look better in black and white! We use or professional, creative judgment on this. Our goal is to make your entire wedding collection as beautiful and timeless as possible.

Does sales tax apply to us?

Yes! If you reside and are getting married in Louisiana, we are required by the state to charge sales tax.
