As an artist, when you meet other like-minded creatives who are passionate about well, their passion, it pumps you UP. It breathes life into your bones and ignites a fire for creating and collaborating in your soul. Jennifer is one of those people. She is immensely talented creating artistry on a head of hair like it’s no one’s business. I’ve collaborated with her on shoots in the past and her talent, and moreso, her desire to perfect that talent for her craft leaves me speechless.
As Jennifer’s wedding details came together, she left me equally as dumbfounded for appropriate words to articulate my awe for her eye. There was not a single detail unturned throughout the day. From designing her own dress and the dresses her maids wore, to the candle lattice covering the pool, and the lantern release at the reception–she creatively transformed her parents’ beautiful countryside back yard property into a soiree unmatched.
Can we talk about even how lovely the bangle bracelet is that she wore. I love the subtle engraving of her and Kurt’s wedding day. Soft whites, a one-of-a-kind Vogue-esque dress. Drools.
I’m not sure where Jenn found all of these tortoise shells, but umm, I’m going to need some for my house now…
One of my favorite moments of the day was when Jenn walked out to see her girls after she was fully dressed. There were tears, there were laughs, and mostly, she realized just what was about to happen. So much beautiful emotion filled that room.
Kurt is the cool, calm, and collected type. When I got to him, he was so ready to see his beautiful bride. We actually rode out…FAR OUT…into a field for their first look. Seriously. We got on a Rhino, which is essentially a souped-up golf cart, and went through some crazy ditches to get to a special spot Kurt and Jennifer had picked out. I laughed so much during that ride that I think I cried my makeup off.
It was secluded, sweet, and worth every bump in the ride it took to get there.
We played in a cow pasture (literally) before the ceremony and it was truly one of the most fun wedding days.
Little, subtle moments. My favorite.
I loved the interaction between Jenn and her father. He so clearly has so much love and adoration for his girls.
During the reception, Kurt, Jenn, and some of the guests sent off lanterns into the sky. This was truly one of my most favorite parts of their day. Seeing the lanterns float off into the sky was magical, butterfly-inducing.
Kurt and Jenn, thank you for allowing me to document this wonderful new chapter. I cannot wait to see what comes next for you.
