Together for almost a decade, Annie and Reice tied the knot in the most dreamy 138-year old chapel on the bay in Fairhope, Alabama. With the windows open to the sounds of the nearby water, perfect Fall weather, and succulents draping ever-so-softly over the two large wooden doors that make up the entrance of the church, we laughed, cried, and watched as they said their vows with the most full hearts.
After just short of nine years together, Reice proposed to Annie in February of this year. Annie is my cousin, so I’ve had the pleasure of watching these two grow into adulthood together, and I absolutely couldn’t be more elated for this season of their lives.
Annie and the girls got ready at her parents’ beautiful new home in Fairhope, while the boys got ready at a hotel nearby in the heart of the quaint streets of downtown Fairhope.
There’s something about a classic black and white tux that will never, never go out of style.
Annie and Reice did not want to see one another before the wedding; however, they did want to exchange letters and have a quiet moment together among the hustle and bustle of the day. My most favorite part of their day was as they were reading their letters. Annie began to cry proceeded by the biggest grin that covered her face. When I asked her what made her cry she said, “Reice told me we could have pizza tomorrow.” Pizza, my friends. I’m pretty sure it’s what keeps the sanity in many relationships.
Much like the classic style of a clean, black and white tuxedo, there’s something about simplistic, old white churches that exudes the most beautiful character.
By far, my favorite photo of the day was this one we snapped after all of the guests had headed to the reception. A few moments to soak in the moment, just the two of them.
A trolley took Annie, Reice, and their guests to the reception at Fairhope Yacht Club where everyone boogied on down all night. Seriously. So much so that tuxedo pants ripped and our granny joined in and showed us her moves.
Alas, my second-favorite photo of the day (above). Our granny getting D-O-W-N with Annie. Annie and Reice, I’m so grateful to have gotten to view your wedding day not only as a guest, but through my lens. I wish you a lifetime of love, grace, and happiness.
