I’ve known Bailie for quite some time. In fact, I photographed her senior portraits several years ago. This fact alone is kind of mindblowing and beautiful to me as a business owner. Nonetheless, Bailie and Brody’s entire journey together has been so breathtaking to watch.
Bailie and Brody are the type of couple whose story just unfolds so naturally. One of my favorite things about working with Bailie and the entire sentiment that surrounded her day is that her focus, seemingly effortlessly, remained entirely on Brody. While she had stunning details and venues, from the planning to the execution of the day, she was calm, collected, and focused on soaking in the love of those around her—and most importantly, the covenant between her and Brody.
The Roosevelt has a dark, elegant feel. I had so much fun playing with this aesthetic and incorporating it into Bailie and Brody’s day.
Stunning, classic bouquets and giggling girls–I’m not sure there’s much better than that.
Brody was so cool, calm, and collected–and a trooper for toughing out New Orleans Summer heat for a few quick photos.
Hands down, this photo above of Bailie’s dad was my favorite photo captured that day. As Preston and I were walking back from capturing some portraits of the groomsmen outside, we noticed Bailie’s dad sitting alone, quietly having a beer and a moment to himself in the downstairs bar of The Roosevelt. With all the chaos a wedding day brings, I loved that he just had a moment to himself, perhaps to soak in the moment in which he was about to hand off his first baby girl into matrimony.
This is my second most-loved photo captured that day. Another quiet moment where Bailie and her girls took a few minutes to reflect and pray before heading out into the packed church.
Immaculate Conception Church is breathtaking. The intricate architecture and detail within the church is among some of the most beautiful in the city.
Bailie and Brody were welcomed into Southern Oaks Plantation by fireworks and a cheering line of friends and family. I love when my couples get greeted into their receptions in such a festive way!
As you can see, Bailie and Brody know how to love, plan a beautiful wedding, AND throw a kick ass party. Their wedding was true to that of a New Orleans wedding, through and through.
