Imagine Boutique: Fall Line

Since I’ve begun dabbling in fashion photography, I must say, I’ve fallen in love with it. I’ve also fallen in love with my partnership with Imagine Boutique and the sweetest gals who run the store and work there–and most certainly our ever-talented models. Our styles just mesh so well together, as do our personalities. Imagine gals, you’re the peanut butter to my jelly. (:

Their Fall line is hands down my favorite yet. I wanted almost every piece we photographed for myself. Scroll down in this post to find where to hear the news first about their daily new arrivals!

Fringe is following us from Summer right into Fall and I love it. Elizabeth had a blast dancing around in this fringe top. 2014-10-30_00012014-10-30_0008

I have a particular love for Imagine because they really carry high end styles at a budget that every girl can afford. The girls who stock that store have such a passion for clothes and the way they make a woman feel–from what’s in stock, to helping pick out outfits, to just brightening your day when you walk in the store. Anyone who frequents the store knows exactly what I’m talking about.2014-10-30_0013Follow @shopimagine on Instagram to be the first to hear about their daily new arrivals!

Our Family Photos by Rachel Buckley

I’m SO thrilled to share with you some photos today that are superbly special to my heart–our first family photos with our Chews. As I’ve shared before, the ways my sweet pup has changed my life and filled my heart is unsurmountable. I’m forever grateful to have these photographs that capture the joy he has brought to our lives taken by the incredibly talented Rachel Buckley.

As you may know through my mention before, we put money aside to invest in our own professional photographs each year, just like my clients, because I truly believe yearly professional documentation is that important. Life is one crazy ride, but I’ve found that professional photographs of myself, Preston, and our life has truly helped me find, inspiration, solace and beauty in what I HAVE instead of what else I want. They are priceless time capsules of organic beauty that I cannot wait to share with my children someday.

Here’s a peek at a few of my favorites…

My mother makes jokes at my love for muted colors and creams, but I just cant help it. I feel like it leaves so much room for emotion in photographs.2014-10-28_0005 2014-10-28_0003

Chewie is a giant cuddler, so when we’re at home, right in between us is the most likely place you’ll find him. That includes the middle of the night.

The only things Chewie loves more than cuddling are his tennis ball, rotisserie chicken, and spinach. Yes, spinach.
2014-10-28_0004 2014-10-28_00012014-10-28_0011I hope you enjoyed a little peek into our family this year–and more so, I wish you the opportunity to have your own documented this year!

A Charleston Harbor Elopement | A Low Country Boil: Reagan + Hunter

As if the town of Charleston isn’t charming enough, photographing the elopement of the most smitten couple with ever-fabulous style sure is. Reagan and Hunter looked like they came straight out of a magazine with the elation that encompassed their smiles and entire personas for their day. Overcast skies, a breathtaking harbor, and the most lovely designed details made for an elopement of Low Country perfection.2014-10-23_00082014-10-23_00072014-10-23_0001

She just molded into Hunter’s arms with such ease–a beauty inside and out.2014-10-23_00042014-10-23_00092014-10-23_0005

Seriously, give me a harbor or a beach to photograph as my landscape and I’m pretty sure I’d be forever happy. 2014-10-23_00062014-10-23_00032014-10-23_0002

After having a little time for pre-event photos, Reagan and Hunter got to set their sights on the hard work of their ever-fabulous designer, Jacin of Lovely Little Details. Jacin left not a detail unturned for their reception–an intimate Low Country Boil on the harbor with their closest family and friends.2014-10-23_00282014-10-23_00292014-10-23_00232014-10-23_00222014-10-23_0024

I told you not a detail was left unfinished. (:2014-10-23_00272014-10-23_00262014-10-23_0030

Mint Juleps, a clam bake, and the most perfect afternoon. 2014-10-23_0015 2014-10-23_0020 2014-10-23_0016

There was a little time later in the day to slip Reagan and Hunter away from guests for a few more quick shots near the palm trees and sand.

2014-10-23_0019Can we just discuss Reagan’s perfection of a bun?

Reagan and Hunter, the love you share for one another and your fervor for life just radiates right out of you onto those around you. I wish you nothing but a lifetime of cuddles and laughs.2014-10-23_0018 2014-10-23_0017

What I Wore: White After Labor Day

Just go ahead and call me a rule breaker. I like it. One thing I’ve been embracing this early Fall is throwing the “no white after Labor Day” rule right out of the window. Mix it with some Fall-esque patterns and colors and voila, you’ve got yourself an outfit that breaks the rules and doesn’t give a damn.

One of the girls I met in Charleston snapped a few of me in my white bells and plaid as we were exploring the town.2014-10-07_0001

Heather Grey Tank: Abercrombie

Plaid Shirt: Forever 21

White Pant: Loft

Espadrille Wedges: Forever 21

Crossbody Saddle-style Purse: H&M

I wish you all of the courage to break the so-called “rules” this Fall as well. Happy Tuesday, friends!

What I’m Loving: Charleston

As you probably know from previous posts on my social media outlets, a few weeks ago I had the absolute pleasure of spending the week in Charleston. The city charmed me even more than I expected. Just imagine the pages of Southern Living Magazine in real life–from cobblestone streets, to hand painted numbers on doors, to the way everyone greets you with a “Hello ma’am.” I now know why the town comes so highly acclaimed as one of America’s prettiest cities.

Not only was she a looker, but Charleston also wooed me with her authentic Southern food–particularly the shrimp and grits. I might have had it on three separate occasions. Oops!

If you ever find yourself in Charleston for a weekend away, I highly recommend dining at Husk for its daily changing and delicious menu and Poogan’s Porch for its particular charm. They will not disappoint.

I was in Charleston with a group of photographers, so this is pretty much how we looked the entire time we were roaming the streets. (:2014-10-07_0006 2014-10-07_0004 2014-10-07_0005

The detail on every building oozed so much charm and unique character–as did my sweet new friends I made, of whom I already miss.2014-10-07_0009 2014-10-07_0007 Happy Friday, my friends!
